Exploring architecture through sound pt. 1
In the fall of 2019 we invited Zürich based musicians Ramon Landolt and David Meier to go on site with us and physically experience a Baugespann, as part of our experimental architecture project ‘rotative research Edition 04 Materialisation of Intentions - Evidence of the absent’.
Ramon and David created a sound installation piece, based on site-specific field recordings. With this composition they seeked ways to express the imagined unfolding changes of the sound relations specific to the site. Structured in three parts - memory & origin, reality & action, shape & void - the piece references the different perceptions of time and their implications related to architecture.
