Exploring architecture through dance pt. 1
In the summer of 2019 we invited London based dancer Emma Hoette to go on site with us and physically experience a Baugespann, as part of our experimental architecture project ‘rotative research Edition 04 Materialisation of Intentions - Evidence of the absent’.
Thin aluminium poles are used to mark a future development on site, in between, next to and on top of the currently present buildings. This almost ‘invisible’ outline of the future development leaves space to imagine it’s volume, edges, density, transparency... It counts on us and our imagination to complete the image. How to experience/make visible what is invisible?
We spent two days on site and made a video together with Emma and afterwards we interviewed her about the experience. Watch the video here.
